JAMIES ELSEWHERE - Guidebook For Sinners Turned Saints
Having the album title "Guidebook For Sinners Turned Saints" you have to jump on the whole "book themed" layout, but make sure you do everything you forgot, or learned since the last time you had to deal with a "book themed" layout. This project, I called my good old friend Raymond Klecker, who I met when i was on tour with Midtown, in 2000. He was pimpin' his band, Chick Bait, Aberdein or something. Anyways we became good friends and kept in touch through out the years. Meanwhile, Raymond was getting really awesome at painting and illustrating, and Since I saw one of this first paintings, I always wanted to work with him, and finally it happened. I told him the idea, and he came up with some great sketches right away. With a few tweaks, we finally got everything down to what we wanted. And this is the final result. Big thanks to Raymond for helping me out. On with the layout, just enjoy the images.
1997 - On The Run
This was a fun project, scary at first, the band had a budget of $0. So some mad brainstorming came out and that didn't even work. Two days until dead line, friend and savior of 1997, Matthew Wysocki, snapped some amazing photos of the band. These photos were all taken out side of the Victory Records office on from what i understand to be a very cold, cold morning. You can even see snow in the some of the photos. On top ofthe beautiful layout this album is really good, You should really buy it.
One of the biggest tasks from this layout was selecting the right cover, we were blessed with all these awesome photos. Here a few rejected covers. My choice was to have one of the photos with Alida on the cover, something about that photo that seemed so dark, and so beautiful. The band chose otherwise, no big deal. I am still extremely happy with how this album came out.
