Party Hard maaaan

My friend Jeanae asked to design a flyer last minute, i liked the way it turned out! TRAVI$ BICKLE + GUNS = PUNK ROCK!

"Hey, I'm not square, you're the one that's square. Your full of shit, man. What are you talking about? You walk out with those fuckin' creeps and low-lifes and degenerates out on the streets and you sell your little pussy for peanuts? For some low-life pimp who stands in the hall? And I'm square? You're the one that's square, man. I don't go screwing fuck with bunch of killers and junkies like you do. You call that bein' hip? What world are you from? "

Coming soon... more from PUNCHLINE :) Pre-order this pretty little piece.

THE FASTEST KID ALIVE! - The Digital EP

Here is a digital cover and other things for one of Chicago's newest, upcoming and one of the most hardest working bands I've seen in a while. THE FASTEST KID ALIVE, not to mention one of the best band names EVER! Named for Michael Cera. But this band is smart, they are only releasing this digitally, and have made Dropcards to sell at shows. Genius! I wanted to post this and give these boys some love. blow are other things that i have made for them. Listen to them on myspacerrr.

BENEATH THE SKY - The Day The Music Died

This was a really fun project, the band approached us saying they wanted a 50's theme greaser kind of look for their upcoming album named "The Day The Music Died" and they had a tshirt design with zombies and a jukebox, so we went with that. And i have recently been dying to work with this amazing illustrator named Ray Frenden, so i called him up and he said sure I'll do it. So i sketched up the idea, and sent it over to him and a few days later he came in with this amazing piece. Anyways, enough words look at these really cool zombies!

The disc face is my favorite, i used 2 different blacks so it feels like grooves, if you run your fingers across this.

Here is how it came to shape. This is the sketch I sent to Ray...

This his sketch of my sketch...

...and that is Ray's final product. I loved the color scheme of this, but felt it was a little too "black light" so Ray was very cool about me messing with the colors and adding textures and what not.

We also printed a T-shirt with the zombies on it.
if you wish you buy this CD or tshirt, check out their webstore.

New T-Shirts!

I have designed a few new shirts. yum!

If you like any of these you can buy them at VictoryRecords.com. Except for the Catch22 shirt, you will have to go see them on
CATCH22's BIG SKANK TOUR

Oh and BIG HUGE MOSTER UPS to MIKE C. for drawing the big skank.

FAREWELL TO FREEWAY 'Definitions' VS. COLDPLAY 'Viva la Vida'

I found this interesting, while looking through old files, i found a rejected/unfinished album cover for FAREWELL TO FREEWAY i did back in December. It looks very similar to the new COLDPLAY album. I am not saying anything, but i just thought it was funny, to be honest I don't think I ever showed that cover to anyone outside of the office. OH well I'm in no way trying to be like this guy... (what a douche). Go buy the new COLDPLAY, its amazing.

and the other rejected covers... (some are sort of dumb)

Here is what it turned out to be:

JAMIES ELSEWHERE - Guidebook For Sinners Turned Saints

Having the album title "Guidebook For Sinners Turned Saints" you have to jump on the whole "book themed" layout, but make sure you do everything you forgot, or learned since the last time you had to deal with a "book themed" layout. This project, I called my good old friend Raymond Klecker, who I met when i was on tour with Midtown, in 2000. He was pimpin' his band, Chick Bait, Aberdein or something. Anyways we became good friends and kept in touch through out the years. Meanwhile, Raymond was getting really awesome at painting and illustrating, and Since I saw one of this first paintings, I always wanted to work with him, and finally it happened. I told him the idea, and he came up with some great sketches right away. With a few tweaks, we finally got everything down to what we wanted. And this is the final result. Big thanks to Raymond for helping me out. On with the layout, just enjoy the images.
